Join Steepest Ascent at this FREE seminar sponsored by the Digital Communications KTN (DCKTN) (www.dcktn.org.uk). The event will feature presentations and demonstrations of the implementation of the 3GPP LTE physical layer, a review of the standards path to LTE, and a Question and Answer session. The day will feature presentations from the DC-KTN, The MathWorks, Motorola and Steepest Ascent.

The 3GPP LTE (Long Term Evolution) project aims to evolve the existing 3GPP mobile telephone standard into an attractive candidate technology for high data rate, low latency, packet based mobile telephony. This seminar provides attendees with an introductory understanding of the LTE standard requirements and characteristics. This includes a description of the physical layer modulation and coding schemes defined in the latest Release 8 of the 3GPP standards. Presentations are complemented with simulations of a complete physical layer transmit/receive chain and core information on PHY layer simulation, testing and the standards path to LTE Release 8 and beyond.

Who Should Attend?
The workshop is suitable for all engineering, technical marketing and technical management staff wishing to gain an understanding of the techniques and processing involved in the physical layer of 3GPP LTE systems. It will be of particular interest to:

* System engineers who need effective tools and techniques for simulation of different radio environments
* Quality engineers requiring golden reference and compliance testing to 3GPP LTE standards
* DSP engineers wanting to achieve the best performance and reliability of PHY layer implementations.
* Technical management who want to understand the technologies such as MIMO and SC-FDMA involved in 3GPP LTE implementation and insight into the 3GPP LTE market.
* Anyone looking to appreciate the standards evolution to LTE, and future evolution and interoperability.

Seminar Highlights
The seminar brings together leading practitioners in 3GPP LTE from senior management through to DSP engineers which will show

* Global Market insight to 4G wireless networks
* Implementation of a transmit and receive 3GPP LTE model
* Simulation and performance analysis
* Waveform Generation for System's testing
* Golden reference testing to 3GPP LTE standards
* Seminar take away notes provided
